Design Brief + Design Specificationnnn ;)

Design Brief.
10. Write a short statement of what you are going to make, why you are going to make it, and for whom you are making it. I am making a flip book, I am making a arcade game because I think it is really easy to accomplish and it will not take that much time to make it. It is also really fun to make and it will entertain people. I am making the arcade gamefor 6th graders to understand it and be able to use it in the future.
Formulate a Design Specification.
11. What are the requirements for this assignment? The requirements for this assignment are for the 6th graders to clearly understand the design cycle.
12. What are the limitations you have with this assignment? The limitation is to show the project to a 6th grader and for them to understand it and make a research on it and get a very good grade.
13. How will you "test" your project?
I will test my project by showing the 6th graders my arcade game then maybe giving them a test on the design cycle and if they passed it then you did it correctly and throughly.
Design Specifications

Reflectioooooon ;*

In this rubric I am rating myself a 3-4 which is a (75/85). I discussed everything throughly so, I think I deserve at least and 85 or maybe higher. I think this would be easy for everyone, I really discussed everything correctly and it's understandable. I investigated this source and I put a lot of information on it and it's understandable. For the plan, I made a product and a solution I planned this very good and wrote a lot of details for the planning and I know it's going to come out right. For the creativeness I used appropriate techniques and i followed the plans i also created a product then a solution and anyone can understand it because it is very neat and understandable. For the evaluation I also created a product and a solution for this one and for all of the other parts of the design cycle, because you have to follow those steps so it can be right and then I have to finish it up and evaluate the whole design cycle. So i think I deserve a (75/85) because ALL of my design cycle process is neat, correct, understandable and pretty, I discussed everything throughly and it would be easy for anyone to understand it quickly. But I also think that i don't deserve a 5-6 because I could've done better even though I tried my best on this.

ARCAAADE GAME >:p

For simplicity I put a 5 for the score, I put a 5 on simplicity because I think creating an arcade can be really easy and fun to work with. What also gave simplicity a 5 is that it's effortless and you don't have to do too much work, it's already on the computer you just have to create it. Pretty much anyone can make the arcade game easily and make it fun to play with and be entertained while they learn. Theres no was someone cannot make an arcade game in the computer and I also think it's easy to make kids get entertained to it, so I can honestly say that I'm going to get a 5 in simplicity, because I will do my best.
  The next category is Theme Choice, I  put a 5 on this category because I can honestly know I WILL get a 5 on the Theme Choices. Theme Choices is like the different types of like backgrounds or how the design of the arcade game is created. I can be very creative with it and make it stand out very cool, so that's why I put a 5 on the theme choices because I know if I make it super creative and pretty and outstanding then people will want to play my arcade game, and that's what I want. I want them to when finished to want to play it again and again. This theme will NEVER get boring.
  The Font Choice is another category. For the font choice I also put a 5 because there's all these different types of fonts that I can Choose from. They can all be different every sentence or like letter, and maybe also word can all have a different type of font that's why I know I can get a 5, it just flows and with different types of fonts not all of the same one so It won't be so boring and it can be different from every ones and be unique. If I just put the same font on all of the arcade game it will be very boring, I'm also not going to put like fonts that people don't understand, because sometimes theres fonts you don't understand and you don't know how to start or do the thing that you want to, because you don't understand the font and you can't read it.
  The next category is the Music Choice, I put a 4 for that category, I'm not that creative with music. I want to put like the typical arcade music on this arcade game. If I put the usual arcade music in my arcade game then it might be boring so I want to change it a little and maybe put one of the TOP 1O songs right now, but then I think it won't make sense, because the arcade game won't really come with the topic and maybe people don't like that song, so i might just put the typical arcade music or maybe something with the Mario.
     My total score is a 19, I put a 5 for the Simplicity, Theme Choices, Font Choice and for the Music choice I put a 4. I KNOW FOR A FACT, that I can get a 19 or even a 2O the most you can get for mine is a 2O so for sure I can get that. I want to be very creative with mine put really cool music in it so people won't have to mute it because it gets inoing I want them to keep on hearing the music that I put on my arcade game, for it to just flow.

FLIPPPPP BOOOOOK! c;

Just like the arcade game I put a score for my flip book for the simplicity I put a 5 I know I can achieve that, because making a flip book is very easy and honestly I think anyone can make a flip book, maybe even a 1st grader. Making the flip book is effortless and it can take probably less than 5 minutes, if you want it really good and creative then you have to take your time in doing it. I won't take 5 minutes making it, it will probably take a long time because I want to get a 1OO on this and I know I can if i actually try and pay attention. My flip book is going to be very unique and understandable then you can actually go back to it and learn. There can't be anyone that can't make this book it is very simple, fun, and easy.

DESiGN CYClE ;D

Area of Interaction: Community and Service , Approaches to Learning & Human Ingenuity
Significant Concept: Design Cycle can be used to solve problems
Unit Question: How can my learning help my community? How do I make Sound Choices?
INVESTIGATE: (Write in complete sentences) Identify the Problem
1. What is the problem you need to solve? Explain to a 6th grader what the design cycle is all about by creating a presentation. (3d, PPT, movie, game, Poster)
2. How does the Design Cycle apply to the real world? You can use the design cycle to create almost anything.  It also keeps you organized.
3. How will this project serve my community? They will learn how to do the design cycle
4. How can my learning help my community? It will help my community by being organized
5. How do we live in relation to each other? Come in a group and work together
6. How does this help others? Being more organized, going in order, and smarter (;
7. What are the requirements for this assignment? teaching a 6th grader how to do the design cycle
8. What is the Design Cycle? First you have to investigate, plan, create, and evaluate.
REFLECT on your learning.
Day 2
9. Spend one day experimenting with DESIGN CYCLE your presentation. List five things your learned about the Design Cycle: That for the investigation you have to search for things on that. To plan you have to see how your going to make it and how it's going to come out. Create is by making it. Then evaluating is when your finished with everything and your ready to teach a 6th grader (;

Day 2 Reflection (;

Today, I researched on the flipbook. I found it on http://www.benettonplay.com/toys/flipboookdeluxe/index.php I already decided i am going to do the flipbook for my project, so i can teach a 6th grader how to use the design cycle. Now I will design a study board of how i will teach the design cycle.
